I had to put this one up because it stressed me out. Still needs a few revisions.

What the heck is Kate Eagle working on? Looks splendid.
I love her inks. It reminds me of that late 70’s early 80’s Disney; Rescuers or 101 Dalmatians.

HELLO EVERYONE.

I’ve officially gone and printed my zine!!! And it’s better than before (I revised some of it)!

I’ve also revised the price a little bit since I’ll probably have to buy stamps or whatever (so it’s free shipping) and I added another 4 pages to the book! So here’s what you’ll get:

*18 pages of some of the comics I’ve made up to now to hold in your hands and read under the covers at night. **Bound together with genuine metal staples that last

*2 postcard sized color prints of these illustrations I did that are pretty cool.

*Free shipping

*ENVELOPE SEALED WITH A KISS.

Haaaaaaay.

HERE IS MY STORE

So there you have it. I printed out a small batch for now to see if they sell, and if they do I’ll print more… but lemme tell you guys. You see that second picture under me holding up my zine and those two postcards? That’s my bed being held together with tape.

So aside from my constant want for sandwiches (and since I set up a paypal, you can donate sandwich money na mean), I need to get new shitty cheap ikea planks for my shitty ikea bed. The mattress keeps falling in. It’s a problem.

Anyhow! For those of you I know in person, you’ll be able to find my zine at Philadelphia Java Company on 4th and South in Philly, where it’ll also be going for a solid 5 clams. I’ll try and get that set up ~*~tomorrow~*~. The postcards will be included as well and instead of sealing it with a kiss maybe I’ll kiss your hand but that is less mysterious and more gross and maybe will be a bad idea. Thanks all!!!!

If you didn’t catch the link above, there’s a link on my sidebar now!

Kate Eagle is working on stuff. So, send her a sandwich!

This now exists!!! A small printed compilation of the comics I’ve made. I couldn’t believe how much frustration this brought me, but I’ve learned and it’s here! Now I get to print a bunch and figure out what to do with them.

Edit: If I see you in person price is either $2 or 1/2 sandwich. It’s your choice to give me a whole one or not. But at least a half. Or I just give it to you for free cause we’re friends. Sigh.

I was a master of shirtmaking. Look at that TY© tag I painted. Those gemstones n shit. Gifted from an early age.

HEY GUYS WHATS UP

Kate Eagle didn’t make it through the hurricane. She was last seen under the sea. Her last words were, “It’s better down where it’s wetter.”
Scientists think she was suffering from bad green screen.

Here’s an inked thing without frills revived. I might draw a little bit more on it but I may perish, so I’m just gonna move on and then go back.

We’re getting ready to launch something new (AND FREE!!!) with Kate Eagle next month.
Here’s a sneaky peak at page one!

Some gems I found in old sketchbooks. Managed to draw pikachu only two times in them. I haven’t posted a comic in a while, and so I figured I’d post this never-before-seen/unfinished/not-that-great comic from a long while ago. I don’t think people would get it unless if they’ve ever roleplayed or played some kind of rpg…

So, with this unseen, unfinished comic, I think having something like this up is good in order for me to say that I’m taking a small hiatus from comic making.

I don’t really know what happened.

Trying to be funny a lot is hard, and trying to find yourself in your work is even harder. It’s been a long time making ridiculous stuff that makes me laugh (most important— makes ME laugh), but I was getting exhausted and frustrated after a while and altogether just stopped making things, which is the most horrible thing in the world. I wasn’t talking about what I wanted to be talking about with my work, and I knew it for a long time… I just didn’t know how to address it in a way I saw fit in comics. I didn’t think I could, because what I wanted to address wasn’t very funny, or I was trying to figure out an angle how to make light of a dark situation. Bummer, right?

To be an artist, a person who went to school for art— a person who spent tons of money on it, even money that didn’t exist… It’s a tragedy watch everyone create things except you.

And then that’s when you start taking your day job label with a depressing seriousness… when the balance of what you do with your time to make money overpowers the amount of time you devote to your passion and ultimate goals.

I stopped making things for myself and I started making things that I thought would maybe appeal to everyone else. I can’t find myself in that work at the moment, though bouts of ridiculousness will always return or else I’ll go fucking batshit. I am, however, very excited to continue to work on these more private and personal pieces and am proud to not feel like I can be boxed in anymore… which is a problem I faced and many others have seemed to face post graduation. If this gets me less tumblr followers, so be it.

Stay beautiful babies.

Same painting— one is front-lit and one is back-lit. I found this out by mistake when I was holding up trying to figure out if I was done. I painted over a lot of the painting with white, which is what I did with the last one. I think if I were to display this, I would want the option of someone being able to turn on a back light.

We’ll see if I can have a better scan of this later, assuming I’m finished with it.

I felt very driven, guilty, heartbroken, sympathetic, angry and frustrated making this one. It’s about my mother, her mind and what our relationship has become. What is almost harmless to the outsider is toxic when you’re on the other side, which is interesting that I discovered the backlit version to be exactly that.

I think it calls itself “I get what I deserve.” She says that a lot.

I have a couple of other paintings in mind already and will probably post something again soon. Getting into some taboo territories here.

Edgy.

And so it begins. New project, long project. I’m pretty stoked about it and have been trying to devote as much of my free time as I can so far (I don’t have a lot of free time). I have a lot of faith in it and think it’ll be a lot of fun. This is the first draft of the first page so who knows if this page is even real after the big cheeses take a gander at it and tell me to flip everything around and get that mess of clothes out of the corner.

Working on a brand new/top secret project with our buddy Kate Eagle.
Here are the pencils for page one.  I just had to share.
