Thanks again to everyone that came and rocked out with us at Tmom on Friday. We had a blast putting this wall together during and before the show. More photos will be uploaded on the South Fellini profile soon.
thelarsenproject’s solo show opening night event will take place on the First Friday of February (3rd).
You should go if you:
+are 21+ (sorry kids)
+love art/local artists
+have never been to a First Friday event
+don’t want Larsen to ash her cigarette in your face
+want to drink with a crowd cooler than your usual friends for once
Or any combination of all of the above.
Fun shit last Friday at Brave New Worlds. What were you doing if you weren’t there?
the opposite of winning.
You ever seen some artists get their draw on right in front of you? And I’m not talking about the crazy bum kind down at Penn’s Landing. I’m talking about comic book illustrators, inkers, letterers and the like? Professional and novice alike? Scribblin’ their little hearts out on the walls (paper may or may not be involved though)!
Well, it’s going downnnnn this First Friday in Philadelphia, right over in Old City at Brave New World Comics!!! It’s sure to be a blast since we’ll have people from the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society and Philly Comix Jam getting crazy.
The rumor mill is spinning that Trov might be DJing, too.
Scratch that: he better be DJing!
Plus, you can get in on the action: the event is free and open to anyone who wants to participate! So grab a friend and a pen and get your ass down to NoLibs/Olde City THIS FRIDAY.

You will thank me for this if you’ve never gone to a First Friday event.
But this one right here is gonna change your life.

First Friday @ Brave New Worlds
Last Friday we teamed up with Fishtown author and phellow philly native Kevin Colden to host an art gallery and book signing.
The whole thing went down at Brave New Worlds, a fancy comic shop in a fancy Philly neighborhood. See, the first Friday of every month BNW and the other stores in Old City open their doors to host free art galleries.
We sold some Black Cherry Bombshells prints, gave out Black Cherry Bombshells‘ pins and Zuda shwag. Special thanks to Miss, creator of Escape from Special and Kevin’s awesome wife, who helped us tap our box o wine and set up the cheese tray.
Kevin and Miss are the best. Hope we can do it again some time.
